Fair Maps Town Hall Tour
We're traveling across North Carolina to discuss solutions to gerrymandering and to build a better redistricting process

Next stop on the tour: Fayetteville (see details)

Politicians in Raleigh refuse to listen to the citizens of North Carolina who are demanding fair voting maps and a nonpartisan redistricting process. So Common Cause NC is hitting the road to hear from citizens ourselves!

We’re organizing a statewide town hall tour of North Carolina to hear directly from voters why fair maps are important, how gerrymandering affects their lives and what a better, fairer process might look like. Between now and when the state legislature reconvenes in May 2018 we’ll be holding a town hall in every congressional district to listen directly to the concerned citizens of our state.

Common Cause NC has been fighting to end gerrymandering for 15 years and now, as more and more people wake up to how unfair the process is, we have the momentum behind us to put a fairer process in place by 2021.

Your support will help us cross the state over the coming months and engage folks in this all-important battle to reclaim our democracy. No matter what issue you care about most—education, the environment, taxes, healthcare, gun control—ending gerrymandering needs to be the issue you care about first. Until we fix this, it’ll be next to impossible to fix anything else.
